Mr. Billionaire Slot

Leander Games is one of those brands you read about quite frequently, for they’ve been shortlisted for awards and turnover lots of high quality games. However, that doesn’t mean that they don’t have skeletons inside their closets, which is essentially what Mr. Billionaire is. This 5-reel VIP themed real money slot is a title we’ll not soon forget, and not necessarily for good reasons.

Sporting dated graphics, 90s animated characters and a conventional 3x5 matrix, this slot machine sounds like an epic fail to us. And yet we felt compelled to play it, if to do nothing more than test out the gameplay side of things. You see, once we started playing we realised that while the aesthetic was poor, the gameplay was far from it. We guess it goes to show that judging books by their cover really is a naive way to behave.

That's My Girl

Jumping straight on into the gameplay, you have a two bonuses title on your hands, something that is becoming all too rare these days, and so we’re already happy. The first of this two outcomes is the Girl Bonus, and yes that is what the game refers to it as. She will need to appear on the first, third and fifth reels for it to count, and once she does this, you’ll have two possible outcomes.

This rather busty brunette can deliver an instant win when you find her or she can reveal some free games; both options have their strengths and weakness. If you get the cash prize, you’ll receive between x10 and x50 of what you first wagered, which means you could be in for a considerable windfall. However, if you discover the free games instead, you could be playing up to 100 extra spins, with all the victories coming in with a nice x3 multiplier attached.

Briefcase of Gold

In another originally titled feature - the Briefcase Bonus – players will get a pick me style selection to savour, allowing for a more hands on experience. This will only occur if customers get the corresponding icon on the second, third and fifth reels, which again makes the probability of unlocking it quite low.

You will then be shown 15 briefcases on another screen, of which there are several rows to work your way through. The aim is to keep opening them until they’re all gone. However, when are slot machines ever that simple? Inside some of the cases are a COLLECT option which will promptly end the level, though there’s usually a prize alongside it that helps soften the blow.

Remaining Wealth

In regards to the rest of the paytable, the results are quite impressive in their size, especially the top prize of the wild, coming in at 10,000 credits. That sum isn’t affected by your bet, so if you’re thinking that raising the stakes is going to make a blind bit of difference, you’re sadly mistaken in this instance.

Personally, we like that such a high payout can be given, even when your pay-in can be as low as just 0.25 credits. It means that Mr. Billionaire is a slot machine open to most players. Nonetheless, while there’s big wads of cash to count if you’re lucky enough, with a high volatility on your hands, the odds of getting that win is very unlikely. We don’t mean to be pessimistic, we’re just stating the cold hard facts.

Put a Spell on You

Mr. Billionaire could have already won you over, but if not we have another option, and if he has won your heart, what are you going to do once the good times stop? This question needs answering, and answers we shall give in the form of Warlock’s Spell. Although this is a RTG title rather than a Microgaming one, the dynamics of the grid are pretty much the same.

The 20 winlines of this slot machine are a lot more well constructed and put together than Mr. Billionaire; like we said in the beginning, the graphics of this Leander title are so dated. What is more, RTG also offer a slightly lower level of challenge, meaning you should get more regular wins than what you do here, though this is pure speculation until you test it for yourselves.

Rolling in Dough

Leander Games have surprised us with this slot machine, for we didn’t expect much from the 1990s aesthetic of this conventional looking title. We’d been waiting for depressing features and low payouts, but what we got was two bonus rounds and a high paying prize worth 10,000. Mr. Billionaire can come again, and keep on doing so if we stand to make that much cash.
