Intralot Will Keep Providing Tech to Lotteries in Ireland and Netherlands to 2027

Multi-year deals

Intralot has announced the extension of two of its existing contracts in Europe, through which it provides technology to lotteries in Ireland and the Netherlands. In addition to the term extensions, the company will broaden the range of services it offers in both these markets.

Intralot has lengthened its deal with Premier Lotteries Ireland (PLI) up to November 2027, following its first ten-year contract signed with the lottery in 2014. The Greek firm will also continue its work with the Nederlandse Loterij Organisatie (NLO) up to June 2027 after completing an initial five-year term

Expanding options

Intralot provides its advanced central gaming system supported by about 4,300 Intralot terminals spread across the lottery’s retail network in Ireland. Intralot will also cater to online players by offering mobile and browser-based platforms.

As part of the agreement in the Netherlands, Intralot will maintain its management and operation services for the NLO’s retail sportsbook named Toto, which has 4,000 retail points nationwide.

Its Intralot Photon division will also be covering risk management and trading services for Toto, in addition to monitoring performance across the board.

A wide reach

Intralot is a global company, boasting contracts across the world, including in countries like Malaysia, Morocco, as well as 11 US states.

One of its most major recent projects was completely converting the retail lottery system for the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) to a cloud-based model, which reportedly is the first time a lottery anywhere in the world has done so to such an extent.
