Wacky Characters

Amongst the best are the burglar, complete with striped top and eye-mask, the bewildered daisy, and half-eaten, walking salami. The quality of the drawings is good enough to give whoever is responsible a commission for a series, really, which is a lot more than can be said for so many other machines out there at the moment.

Try to Keep Calm

Clearly with this motley crew you’re going to find yourself getting into all sorts of scrapes and situations- mostly comical, some comically deadly. To avoid killing off your cash supply it’s important to get to know the basics before watching all these incredible characters spinning round on five-reels like some sort of demented cow (there is actually a demented cow in the game, see).

Digressions aside (too late), as with most gamblers you can adjust the size of your coin to suit your preferred size of bet. Once you have adjusted the bet size it’s time to hit spin. Cocco matches all other gamblers in that you’re matching symbols with one another on specific paylines. Unlike some of the more minimalistic slots, though, this one does have a few special characters that are worth a mention.

Wild ‘cards’ come in the form of a rather shocked looking blue and red fish. These little guys can be swapped in for any other symbol to complete a run of three, four or five. The only symbols they don’t work for are the Scatter symbols, which open up Free Spins for you to use, and Bonuses. Bonuses are a cowboy and his happy horse, which open up a rootin’, tootin’, cartoonish bonus game that’s pretty easy to pick up; unearthing special symbols to bring in big prizes.

Cocco Loco

It’s not often you can be genuinely excited about a gambler, aside from the whole ‘might win loads of money’ aspect, of course. Cocco isn’t particularly different to most, either – five reels, 25 paylines, bonus, wilds and scatters – but it feels like it is because the whole thing is so nice to look at.

You could stare for hours at the detail involved in the drawings, as has already been said in this review, but this really does lift the game streets ahead of so many others. It’s not just fun to play, it’s fun to watch and admire. Top marks then.
